Not having been to Las Vegas before, I was surprised to find that it was like a giant, creepy amusement park. Almost everything there is a simulacrum that sits firmly in the uncanny valley of architecture. Where, say, Disney creates replicas that are either fantastic enough to be divorced from the original or so identical that they are comfortable and familiar, Las Vegas is full of things that are just a bit 'off' or 'wrong.'

Pictured is Paris Las Vegas' mini Eiffel Tower, which stands in front of a hotel full of stereotypes of French architecture and furnishings. Creepy as heck.
